現代語訳
燃やすべき旨をお命じになる。頂上でどのように行うべきかをお教えになる。お手紙と不死の薬の壺を並べて火をつけて燃やすべき旨をお命じになる。その旨を承って、兵士も大勢連れて山へ登ったことから、その山を「富士の山」と名付けるのである。その煙は今でも雲の中へ立ち昇るのだと語り継がれている。

英語訳
He commanded that they should be burned. He instructed how this should be carried out on the summit. He ordered that the letter and the jar of immortality elixir be placed together and burned with fire. Having received these orders, they climbed the mountain with many soldiers, and from this event, that mountain came to be called "Fuji no Yama" (Mount Fuji). It is said and passed down that the smoke from this still rises up into the clouds even today.
