調査を行い、御役人様方へ元々申し上げるべきところ、もし隠し置いて後日発覚した場合には、届け出を怠った者は言うまでもなく、その他の者までもどのような処罰でも申し付けられても仕方ございません。その際は一言の申し開きもいたしません。後日の証拠として連印の証文を差し上げます。よって件の如し。

We shall conduct investigations and report to the honorable officials as required. Should we conceal anything and it comes to light later, not only those who failed to report but all others as well shall accept whatever punishment may be imposed upon us. At that time, we shall offer no words of excuse. We hereby submit this jointly signed document as proof for future reference. Therefore, as stated above.
