現代語訳

【右丁】
十薬　どこの土地にも多くある。春、古い根から苗を生やす。高さ七、八
　寸、肥えた土地のものは一、二尺にも達する。葉は互い違いに生える。形は円
　く先が尖り、サツマイモの葉によく似ている。切ると臭気があり
　耐え難い。四、五月頃、茎の上に花を咲かせる。白色四弁、二弁は
　大きく二弁は小さい。中に黄色い雄しべが円に集まって長さ五、六
　分である。秋海棠（シュウカイドウ）の花の雄しべのようである。また七、八弁のものがあり、千弁
　のものもある。また葉に紅白の斑があるものもある。いずれも秋の後
　苗は枯れる。
　　　　　　主な効能
　　△辛温、小毒あり。脱肛を治し、煎じて服用すれば淋病を治す。

Jūyaku (Ten medicines)　Found abundantly in any location. In spring, it produces shoots from old roots. Height is seven to eight
　sun, and those in fertile soil can reach one to two shaku. Leaves grow alternately. The shape is round
　with pointed tips, closely resembling sweet potato leaves. When cut, it has an odor that is
　unbearable. Around the fourth and fifth months, it produces flowers on the stem. White four-petaled flowers, with two petals
　large and two petals small. In the center, yellow stamens gather in a circle with a length of five to six
　bu. They are like the stamens of Begonia grandis flowers. There are also varieties with seven to eight petals, and some with a thousand petals.
　There are also varieties with red and white spots on the leaves. All of them have shoots that
　wither after autumn.
　　　　　　Main properties
　　△Acrid and warm, with slight toxicity. Treats rectal prolapse, and when decocted and taken internally, treats gonorrhea.
