現代語訳
干菓子山殿の秘蔵の茶碗が何者かに買い取られ、いろいろと御詮議があったところ、有平糖が買い取ったということが分かった。唐菓子大王は差し迫った思いで、加勢以多を渡海させて茶碗の在り処を尋ねさせた。
「主人は大変貴重な品を紛失いたし、我々まで合点がまいりません」と唐菓子大王が聞き及び、「今、日本との水魚の交わりの中で、このような不審事が起こるとは気の毒千万、いかようとも詮議して干菓子山殿の疑いを晴らそう」と言った。

The treasured tea bowl of Higashi-yama-dono (Lord of Dry Confections) was bought by someone, and after various investigations, it was discovered that Aruheitou (a type of hard candy) was the buyer. The Great King of Chinese Confections, feeling urgent, sent Kaseitakusan across the sea to inquire about the whereabouts of the tea bowl.
"Our master has lost a very precious item, and even we cannot comprehend it," the Great King of Chinese Confections heard and said, "Now, in our close relationship with Japan like fish and water, for such suspicious matter to occur is truly regrettable. By whatever means, we shall investigate and clear Lord Higashi-yama's suspicions."
