THÉ DE FORMOSE.
Le thé de Formose est le produit le plus
important de l'ile. Il se distingue en deux
qualités qui sont connues sous les noms de
Woolung-tea et de Flower-tea. Le premier
est un thé naturel ayant une saveur et un
parfum caractéristique; et le second est préparé
par un procédé spécial. Les feuilles sont
arromatisées par certaines fleurs odoriférentes
qui leur donnent ainsi un goût exquis.
Le thé de Formose a la propriété de
faciliter la digestion, d'augmenter l'énérgie
vitale et de provoquer l'esprit agréable.
Le thé de Formose a une saveur si agré-
able qu'il suffit d'en ouvrir après une seule

台湾茶は台湾島の最も重要な産物である。ウーロン茶とフラワー茶という名前で知られる二つの品質に区別される。前者は特徴的な風味と香りを持つ天然の茶であり、後者は特別な製法で作られる。茶葉は香りの良い特定の花で香り付けされ、それによって絶妙な味わいを得る。
台湾茶には消化を促進し、生命力を増進し、心地よい気分を引き起こす性質がある。

Formosan Tea
Formosan tea is the most important product of the island. It is distinguished into two qualities which are known under the names of Woolung-tea and Flower-tea. The first is a natural tea having a characteristic flavor and perfume; and the second is prepared by a special process. The leaves are aromatized by certain odoriferous flowers which thus give them an exquisite taste.
Formosan tea has the property of facilitating digestion, increasing vital energy and provoking an agreeable spirit.
Formosan tea has such an agreeable flavor that it suffices to taste it after a single drop.
Formosan tea is an excellent beverage of primary necessity with a moderate price and as economical as it is salutary.
