一 再び御目付が会釈をして出仕し、雁の間と芙蓉の間の御敷居の際に御鳥が出たため、その前で下総殿と自分が一同に出仕して平伏し、右回りに引き下がった。
ただし名代であるため、御礼の節には出仕しなかった。
一 下総殿に挨拶を申し述べた。
一 下野殿の留守居にも中の口辺りで会って、仰せ渡しの趣旨を申し伝え、直ちに退出した。
ただし西の丸には登城しなかった。
一 老中衆に名代として廻勤の口上を取次に相渡した。
帰宅は八つ半時前であった。
英語訳
1. The metsuke bowed respectfully again and appeared. When the御鳥 (ceremonial birds) appeared at the threshold between the Kari-no-ma and Fuyō-no-ma, Lord Shimōsa and I appeared together before them, prostrated ourselves, and withdrew in a clockwise direction.
However, since I was serving as a representative, I did not appear during the formal thanks ceremony.
1. I offered my greetings to Lord Shimōsa.
1. I also met with Lord Shimotsuke's rusui near the Naka-no-kuchi, conveyed the content of what was announced, and immediately withdrew.
However, I did not ascend to Nishi-no-maru castle.

I returned home before half past the eighth hour (around 3:30 PM).
