出仕するが、自分は名代であるため二度出仕する旨を申し聞いた。
一 御廻り（巡回）の際なので、下総殿と同様に四本障子を後ろにして着座した。
一 御目付が会釈をして、老中衆が雁の間の御列座に、下野殿と同様に出仕した。御同人（下野殿）は三尺程間を空けて平伏し、自分は六尺程老中衆の方との間を置いて着座した。御鷹の雁を下賜される旨を、御用番の伊賀守殿が仰せ渡され、儀式が済んだ後、自分より引き下がった。

He would appear, but since I am serving as a representative, I conveyed that I would appear twice.
1. Since it was during the go-mawari (official rounds), I was seated with the four-panel shoji screens behind me, the same as Lord Shimōsa.
1. The metsuke bowed respectfully, and the council of elders took their seats in the formal seating arrangement of the Kari-no-ma, appearing in the same manner as Lord Shimotsuke. His lordship (Lord Shimotsuke) prostrated himself leaving about three shaku of space, while I took my seat leaving about six shaku of distance from the council of elders. Lord Iga-no-kami, who was the goyōban (duty officer), announced that the geese from falconry were being bestowed. After the ceremony was completed, I withdrew first.
