一 夫ゟ対客之間え用人按内御先手一同縁頬ニ
控居扇子刀之後ニ置
一 下野殿対客之間え被出用人致会釈候間願
書右之手ニ持敷居際ニ而時宜いたし御先手
一同罷立御同人と一間程間置致着座板倉
伊豫守病気大切ニ付跡目奉願候旨申述御同人
間近〳〵え進出願書上包取差出上包ハ御
同人右之脇え差置又候一間程置着座御同
人一覧相済会釈有之致時宜御先手一同退坐
直罷帰候
但差添御先手差出候書付類ハ勝手ニ而用人
受取相済候由且罷帰候節先立用人え無滞
御受取被下候挨拶申述
一 下野殿門前ニ板倉伊豫留守居罷出居候間
御願書無滞差出候旨申直帰宅

【六行目より】
一、それから対客の間へ用人が案内し、御先手一同は縁側に控えて座り、扇子と刀を後ろに置いた
一、下野殿が対客の間へ出てこられ、用人が会釈をしたので、願書を右手に持ち、敷居際で時宜の挨拶をし、御先手一同は立ち上がって同人と一間ほど間を置いて着座した。板倉伊豫守が重病のため跡目を願い出る旨を申し述べ、同人の間近まで進み出て願書の上包を取って差し出した。上包は同人の右脇に差し置かれ、また一間ほど置いて着座した。同人が一覧を済まされて会釈があったので時宜の挨拶をし、御先手一同は退座してすぐに帰った
ただし差添の御先手が差し出した書付類は勝手口で用人が受け取りを済ませた由。また帰る際には、まず用人に滞りなく御受け取りいただいた旨の挨拶を申し述べた
一、下野殿の門前に板倉伊豫の留守居が出てきていたので、願書を滞りなく差し出した旨を申し上げてそのまま帰宅した
英語訳

1. Then the retainer guided [us] to the guest reception room, and all the osente sat in attendance on the veranda, placing their fans and swords behind them
1. Shimotsuke-dono came out to the guest reception room, and when the retainer bowed, [I] held the petition document in my right hand, made seasonal greetings at the threshold, and all the osente stood up and sat down about one ken (approximately 6 feet) away from him. [I] explained that we were petitioning for succession due to Itakura Iyo-no-kami's serious illness, approached close to him, took the outer wrapper of the petition document and presented it. The outer wrapper was placed to his right side, and [I] sat down again about one ken away. After he finished reviewing it and bowed, [I] made seasonal greetings, and all the osente withdrew and immediately returned
However, the documents that the accompanying osente submitted were received by the retainer at the service entrance. Also, when returning, [I] first conveyed greetings to the retainer that [the documents] had been received without delay
1. At the gate of Shimotsuke-dono's residence, Itakura Iyo's caretaker had come out, so [I] informed him that the petition document had been submitted without delay and returned home directly
