Record of the drifting of Sentarō, a ship captain
from Okinosawa Village, Jōtō District, Enshū Province
First, regarding the ship "Shōei-maru" owned by Hachirōzaemon of Takagosho Village, Sano District, Enshū Province: Sentarō served as the offshore captain, with sailors Tatsuzō and Matsunosuke. These three men operated a cargo vessel and loaded rice. Specifically, they loaded various cargo including rice and charcoal for Yokosuka-sama, Yokomatsu-sama, and other hatamoto retainers. This was four years prior, in Tenpō 10 《Year of the Boar》
