現代語訳
かくして朝比奈は再び異国へ渡って、異国の人物を一人ずつ連れて、程なく日本へ立ち帰る。その異国人というのは〽大人国〽小人島〽背高島〽手長島〽女護島〽黒んぼう女〽穿胸国（せんきょうこく）といって腹に穴のある国の人、合わせて八人。奇怪ではあるが正しく、まず鎌倉へと急ぐ。
朝比奈はどういう気か、女護の島と黒んぼうの女をば日本の風俗にして連れて来る。思うに朝比奈は趣向師通で、絵柄の面白いようにとの心遣いと見えた。
〽小人島が言う「これ大人国も、少し離れて歩いてください。ひどく小さく見えると」大声で言えど、大人国の耳へは蚊の鳴くようで一向聞こえず。
大人国が万歳を言う「皆には見えめえが、俺にはもう鎌倉が見えるわ〜い、ツツテン〜」
背高島が言う「私がお供するからは、門止めの案じはないのさ」
【女護島と黒んぼう女】「私たちとお前が来た所は、笠森の米の団子と土の団子というものだね」
英語訳
Thus Asaina crossed to foreign lands once again and, bringing back foreign people one by one, soon returned to Japan. These foreigners were from: the Land of Giants, the Island of Little People, Tall Island, Long-Arm Island, the Island of Women, a Black Woman, and Senkyō-koku (the Chest-Piercing Country) - a land where people have holes in their bellies - eight people in total. Though strange, they were genuine, and first they hurried toward Kamakura.
For some reason, Asaina had the woman from the Island of Women and the black woman dress in Japanese fashion. It seems that Asaina, being skilled in theatrical direction, was being considerate to make the spectacle visually appealing.
The person from the Island of Little People said: "Hey, you from the Land of Giants, please walk a bit farther away. You make me look terribly small!" Though he shouted loudly, to the giant's ears it sounded like a mosquito's buzz and couldn't be heard at all.
The person from the Land of Giants called out in celebration: "You all probably can't see it, but I can already see Kamakura! Hooray, tsu-tsu-ten!"
The person from Tall Island said: "Since I'm accompanying you, there's no worry about being stopped at gates."
