【囲みの外】葉は蒲に似ている。花の形は金盞銀台に例えられる。花びらは六枚。台は三角形で長い。茎は河骨に似ている。また花は最初薄絹の袋に包まれており、袋がほどけて花が開く。花の色は白で少し薄い。中の一つの盞に三つの玉がある。一盞三玉ともに黄色のうこん色である。八月から翌年の二、三月まで花がある。秋冬の水仙は花が葉の中段にある。また春の水仙花は葉の丈に比べて全体的に草花はこれに従って、夏秋の草花は丈が長く、冬春の草花は丈が短い。四季の草花は年中絶えることがない。しかしながら秋冬の草花は冬の気候に耐えきれず春を待たずに枯れるところへ、水仙が薄絹の袋から金盞銀台を出し、これが春を待たずに春の草花が来るのに一盞をもって引き合わせる縁を結びつなぐ花である。
○楊誠斎が言うには「世に水仙を金盞銀台となす。おそらく一重のものの中に一つの酒盞があり、深黄で金色である。千枚（八重）のものはすなわち真の水仙である」○山谷が言うには「別名を仙骨とする。水仙花は凡花ではない。仙人の骨の象（かたち）がある。故に仙骨という」
△仕立花（着色法）：胡粉で中筋を描き、同じく中筋の両脇を白緑でぼかしをつけ、匂い皿に匂いの玉は胡粉の下地に白緑でぼかす。また総花へは緑青に胡粉を加えて掛ける。中玉と皿ともに朱黄を掛ける。台葉と軸とは四番六青の草汁でぼかし、朱黄を掛ける。花を包む袋は胡粉を塗り薄黄土を掛け、朱墨でぼかしを散らし掛け、筋を描く。朱墨で葉の根回りは胡粉摺りに黄を掛ける。草汁で筋を描く。

【Heading, boxed section】Narcissus flower (suisen-ka)
【Outside the box】The leaves resemble cattails. The flower shape is likened to a golden cup and silver stand (kinsan-gindai). There are six petals. The base is triangular and long. The stem resembles spatterdock. Also, the flower is initially wrapped in a thin silk bag, and when the bag opens, the flower blooms. The flower color is white and slightly pale. In the center cup there are three orbs. Both the one cup and three orbs are yellow turmeric color. Flowers appear from August until February or March of the following year. Autumn and winter narcissus have flowers in the middle section of the leaves. Also, spring narcissus flowers, compared to the height of leaves, generally follow this pattern where summer and autumn flowering plants are tall, while winter and spring flowering plants are short. Four-season flowering plants continue year-round without cease. However, while autumn and winter flowering plants cannot endure the winter climate and wither before waiting for spring, narcissus emerges with its golden cup and silver stand from the thin silk bag, and without waiting for spring, when spring flowers arrive, it serves as the flower that forms and connects the bond that brings them together with its single cup.
○Yang Chengzhai says: "The world considers narcissus to be golden cup and silver stand. Probably among single-petal varieties there is one wine cup, deep yellow and golden in color. The thousand-petal (double) varieties are indeed true narcissus." ○Shangu says: "An alternative name is 'immortal bone' (senkotsu). Narcissus flowers are not ordinary flowers. They have the form of immortal bones. Therefore they are called immortal bone."
△Flower arrangement (coloring method): Paint the center line with gofun (white pigment), similarly apply shading to both sides of the center line with white-green, for the fragrance dish apply gofun base with white-green shading to the fragrance orbs.
