【右丁】
一下地を薄浅黄に染て藎草を煎し浸し能程に絞り
　上水の内へ明礬を少入右染たる品を浸し直に
　しぼり上て懸干にする也
　　　濃茶染
一下地をこき鬱金に染藎草を煎し明礬と緑礬（ろうは）
　を少し入鉄漿少加へかき廻し染る
　　　ぎん煤竹染【注①】
一かりやすへすをう少し入水にて煎しつめ明礬
　緑礬を少し入かき廻し天日にて干なり
　　　きから茶染
一下地を鬱金にて濃く染苅安草蘓木を水にて煎
　し明礬少し入かき廻し染る色薄くば二番を煎し
　明礬を入二度染る

　　　千才茶染
一下地を藍にて空色に染しぶきを水にて煎し
　右の上へ三度引鉄漿三合程に水七合程入一
　返上に引水にて能濯き干なり
　　　あひみる茶染
一下地空色に染しぶきを煎し一度染干又一度
　染湯をたらいに入其内へ鉄漿を少し入かき廻し
　むらなく染湯の中へ明礬少し入染水にてすゝき
　干すなり
　　　柳／煤竹（すゝたけ）茶
一下地を浅黄に染其上を藎草にて両面へ引ご水【注②】に
　墨を摺り入鼠色程に成る時／刷毛（はけ）にて引なり
　　　みる茶染

現代語訳

【右丁】
一、下地を薄い浅黄色に染めて、藎草を煎じて浸し、適度に絞り上げ、水の中へ明礬を少し入れ、右で染めた品を浸し、すぐに絞り上げて掛け干しにする。

　　　濃茶染め
一、下地を濃い鬱金で染め、藎草を煎じ、明礬と緑礬を少し入れ、鉄漿を少し加えてかき回して染める。

　　　銀煤竹染め
一、刈安に蘇芳を少し入れ、水で煎じ詰め、明礬と緑礬を少し入れてかき回し、天日で干す。

　　　黄辛茶染め
一、下地を鬱金で濃く染め、刈安草と蘇芳を水で煎じ、明礬を少し入れてかき回して染める。色が薄ければ二番煎じをし、明礬を入れて二度染める。

【左丁】
　　　千歳茶染め
一、下地を藍で空色に染め、渋木を水で煎じ、右の上へ三度引く。鉄漿三合ほどに水七合ほど入れ、一度上に引き、水でよく濯いで干す。

　　　藍海松茶染め
一、下地を空色に染め、渋木を煎じて一度染めて干し、また一度染める。染め湯を盥に入れ、その中へ鉄漿を少し入れてかき回し、むらなく染める。染め湯の中へ明礬を少し入れて染め、水ですすいで干す。

　　　柳煤竹茶
一、下地を浅黄色に染め、その上を藎草で両面へ引く。呉汁に墨を摺り入れ、鼠色ほどになる時、刷毛で引く。

1. Dye the base fabric in light pale yellow, boil kariyasu grass and soak, wring out moderately, add a little alum to water, soak the dyed item in it, immediately wring out and hang to dry.

　　　Dark Brown Dyeing
1. Dye the base fabric dark with turmeric, boil kariyasu grass, add a little alum and green vitriol, add a little iron solution and stir while dyeing.

　　　Silver Soot Bamboo Dyeing
1. Add a little sappanwood to kariyasu, boil down with water, add a little alum and green vitriol, stir and dry in sunlight.

　　　Yellow-Brown Tea Dyeing
1. Dye the base fabric dark with turmeric, boil kariyasu grass and sappanwood with water, add a little alum, stir and dye. If the color is light, make a second decoction, add alum and dye twice.

　　　Chitose Tea Dyeing
1. Dye the base fabric sky blue with indigo, boil astringent wood with water, apply three times over the above. Add about 7 go of water to about 3 go of iron solution, apply once over, rinse well with water and dry.

　　　Indigo Sea Pine Tea Dyeing
1. Dye the base fabric sky blue, boil astringent wood and dye once, then dry and dye once more. Put the dye bath in a basin, add a little iron solution and stir, dye evenly. Add a little alum to the dye bath, dye, rinse with water and dry.

　　　Willow Soot Bamboo Tea
1. Dye the base fabric pale yellow, then apply kariyasu to both sides. Grind ink into soybean juice, and when it becomes gray color, apply with a brush.
