春二月朔《割書：壬》子巡察将軍
武内宿祢殉￣ヒ＿二海陸￣ニ＿一来￣テ奏￣テ曰
日高見￣ハ所＿レ謂 天（アマ）￣ノ府（フ）也其地
沃環其賦上上今与＿レ倭接￣ヘ

現代語訳
景行天皇二十七年辛丑
春二月朔壬子、巡察将軍
武内宿祢、海陸を巡視して帰り、奏上して言った。
「日高見は、いわゆる天の府である。その地は
肥沃で、その租税は上の上である。今、倭と接している。」

In the 27th year of Emperor Keikō, the year of Kanoto-Ushi (Metal Ox)
On the spring month of February, first day Mizunoe-Ne, the Inspector General
Takeuchi no Sukune, having inspected the land and sea, returned and reported saying:
"Hitakami is what is called the heavenly prefecture. That land is
fertile, and its taxes are of the highest grade. Now it borders with Yamato."
