海淵（かいえん）の深（ふか）きもいらずして底（そこ）をしる況（いはん）や天（てん）の理（り）
をや日月（じつげつ）の行道（ぎやうどう）春秋（しゆんじう）運気（うんき）其外（そのほか）巫医（ふゐ）百工（ひやくこう）の
類（たぐひ）みな算数（さんすう）によつて吉凶（よしあし）をもとめ血気（けつき）の順逆（じゆんぎやく）を
しる此 道（みち）によらずして妙（めう）を知（し）り理（り）を曉（さとす）ことは
なんぞや然共（しかれども）其（その）深（ふかき）を知（しり）委（くはしき）を曉（さとす）こと至（いた）らざれば得難（えがた）し故（かるがゆへ）
に其（その）綱領（こうれう）をしるして聖門（せいもん）に入一（ひとつ）の便（たより）にせんと思（おも）へと下（げ）

現代語訳
海の淵の深さも、そこに入らずして底を知ることができる。まして天の理においてはなおさらである。日月の運行、春秋の気候の変化、その他巫医や百工の類はみな算数によって吉凶を求め、血気の順逆を知る。この道によらずして奥義を知り、理を悟ることがどうしてできようか。しかしながら、その深い部分を知り、詳細を悟ることは容易ではない。そのため、その要点を記して、学問の門に入る一つの手がかりにしようと思うが、私の愚かさゆえに、あるいは不足があり、あるいは重複があって完全ではない。どうか明識ある人が間違いや欠けた部分を正してくれれば、まことに助けとなるであろう。

Even the depth of the ocean's abyss can be known without entering it. How much more so with the principles of heaven! The movements of the sun and moon, the seasonal changes of spring and autumn, and besides these, diviners, doctors, and all craftsmen seek good and bad fortune through mathematics and understand the proper flow of vital energy. How could one know the mysteries and comprehend principles without relying on this way? However, to know its depths and understand its details is not easily achieved. Therefore, I thought to record its essential points to serve as one gateway into the realm of learning, but due to my own foolishness, there may be deficiencies or redundancies, and it is not perfect. If someone with clear wisdom would correct the errors and omissions, it would truly be of great help.
