【中巻五十三丁裏】
にをきてかくれは弐百五拾令三分三り五毛六糸
八忽四と成 これをは右にへちにおきて 又左四尺
五寸を円廻法三一六にてわれは一尺四寸弐分
四りと成 これを左右にをきてかくれは弐百令
弐坪七分七り七毛六糸と成 これほと右之五尺
なわの坪の内を引は残て四十七坪五分五りあ
まる これを又左の弐百令二坪七分七毛六糸
をもつてわれは二わり三分四り五毛ふそくと

現代語訳
【中巻五十三丁裏】
（これを）左右に置いてかければ、二百五十（零）三分三厘五毛六糸
八忽四となる。これを右に別に置いて、また左の四尺
五寸を円周の法三・一六で割れば一尺四寸二分
四厘となる。これを左右に置いてかければ二百（零）
二坪七分七厘七毛六糸となる。これほど右の五尺
縄の坪の内から引けば、残って四十七坪五分五厘余
る。これをまた左の二百（零）二坪七分七毛六糸
をもって割れば、二割三分四厘五毛不足と
記される。
右いずれも、この心持ちにて割り付け申し候。

Place (this) on both sides and multiply to get 250 tsubo, 3 bu, 3 rin, 5 mo, 6 shi,
8 kotsu, 4. Set this aside to the right. Then divide 4 shaku
5 sun on the left by the circular circumference constant 3.16 to get 1 shaku 4 sun 2 bu
4 rin. Place this on both sides and multiply to get 200 tsubo,
2 bu [sic], 7 rin, 7 mo, 6 shi. Subtracting this from the area corresponding to the 5-shaku
rope on the right, there remains a surplus of 47 tsubo, 5 bu, 5 rin.
Dividing this again by the left-hand value of 202 tsubo, 7 bu [, 7 mo, 6 shi],
the shortfall is recorded as 23 bu, 4 rin, 5 mo.
All of the above cases are to be calculated in this same manner.
