▲江戸から京までの間に、金一分を一つずつ並べると、合計いくらになるかという問い。
一分の数：合計三千六十三万二千七百二十八枚あり。
ただし、一分（金貨）の長さは五分半（約1.65cm）として。
右の一分を升で量るとどれほどになるかという問い。
答え：四十二石八升二合二勺あり。
【下巻六丁表】
▲京から江戸まで百二十里の間に、芥子（けし）の粒を一つずつ並べると、いくつ入るかという問い。
芥子の数：六億七千三百九十二万粒あり。
容積にして：一石六斗八升四合八勺にあたる。
ただし、一寸に芥子四十粒ずつ並ぶものとして計算する。
一升には四百万粒入るものとして計算する。
芥子一億粒というのは、長さにして十七里二十九町一間三尺五寸に並ぶ。

Note: The length of one *bu* (gold coin) is taken as five and a half *bu* (approximately 1.65 cm).
Furthermore, a problem asking: if the above one-bu coins were measured by volume using a *masu* (measuring box), how much would there be?
Answer: 42 *koku*, 8 *shō*, 2 *gō*, 2 *shaku*.

▲A problem asking: if poppy seeds are lined up one by one along the 120-*ri* distance from Kyoto to Edo, how many seeds would fit?
Number of poppy seeds: 672,392,000 seeds.
In volume: equivalent to 1 *koku*, 6 *to*, 8 *shō*, 4 *gō*, 8 *shaku*.
Note: This calculation assumes 40 poppy seeds line up per *sun* (approx. 3.03 cm).
It is assumed that 4,000,000 seeds fit in one *shō* (measuring unit).
One hundred million poppy seeds, when lined up, would extend a distance of 17 *ri*, 29 *chō*, 1 *ken*, 3 *shaku*, and 5 *sun*.
