- He was exempted from duty
- In the 5th year, 3rd month of the Bunka era (1808), his request to change his name to Tanzaemon was granted
- In the 9th year, 4th month of the Bunka era (1812), he was appointed to serve as supervisor of the teaching grounds
* As a result, he was exempted from castle guard duty and shrine fire watch duty
- In the 10th year, 12th month of the Bunka era (1813), he was appointed to concurrently supervise yoriki (lower-ranking samurai)
- In the 12th year, 3rd month of the Bunka era (1815), when Lord Kinbun was living as heir apparent, Higuchi Kazue was ordered to go to Edo to serve as archery practice partner and various other duties
- On the 19th day, 2nd month, 14th year of Bunka (1817), he died of illness at age 53. Posthumous Buddhist name: Kankyo-in Shozan Kaku-ho Koji. Burial place: same as above
