今度新規御領知被 仰出候何茂 御家久敷
者共ニ有之候間不残被 召仕度被為 思召
候得共只今之御高ニ而ハ難及候故被
召抱候何茂迷惑可仕与其段別而 御憐愍

一類共何方ニ成共罷在儀少も不苦候屋敷
明候儀も勝手次第緩々と差上可申候以上

一 居屋敷緩々と仕舞勝手次第可差上事
一 屋敷惣囲有之ハ何ニ而も其儘差置本屋ハ被下候事

御家老並びに酒井玄蕃元知、有賀左衛門政方、酒井孫四郎元宣が
列座し、今度御暇を下された面々へ 御意の趣を左の通り
采女が申し渡した。
御意の趣
今度新規に御領知を 仰せ出されたが、いずれも 御家に久しく
仕える者共であるので、残らず 召し使いたいと 思召し
候えども、只今の御高（石高）では及び難く、
召し抱えられる者もいずれも迷惑をかけることになろうと、その段について別して 御憐愍を
思召されている。
以上
今度召し抱えられない者については、御城下・御領分の内または
一類（親類）の者のところ、いずれの方へ参ることも少しも構わない。屋敷を
明け渡すことも都合次第、ゆっくりと差し上げれば良い。以上

同席において御目付に左の通り相達した
一 居屋敷はゆっくりと片付け、都合次第差し上げること
一 屋敷の総囲い（塀など）があるものは何でもそのまま差し置き、本屋は下賜されること
一 屋敷の内にある樹木で丈に伸びた者（大きく育った木）は差し置かれること

particularly compassionate, knowing that those who could be retained would also face hardships.

For those not retained this time, you may go to the castle town, within the domain territory, or to
relatives—anywhere is perfectly acceptable. The vacation of
residences may also be done at your convenience, taking your time. The above.
