実子たりといふとも筋目違たる儀不
可立之事
一本主之構有之者尤不可相抱若駈込者
有之本主ゟ断りあらハ目付之者江相達
大科人ハ返之小科之者ハ可追放事
附手負たる者不可隠置事
一行死罪者有之時申付ル輩之外一切其場江
不可駈集事
附追懸者同前之事
一喧嘩口論は不忠不孝之至也堅可存
此旨万一有之時番所ハ其座切可相斗
之番人無之処ハ其場江近き輩可相斗之
猥ニ不可駈集令荷担者ハ其科本人ゟ
重かるへき事
一博奕好色或ハ落書張文等恥を忘れ
侍に不似合作法不可有事
現代語訳
存命の内に願い出るべし、ただし五十歳以上十七歳以下
の者の末期の養子は評議の上で立てるべし、たとえ
実子であっても筋目違いの儀は立てては
ならない事
一 本主の構えがある者はもっとも抱えてはならない、もし駆け込み者が
あり本主より断りがあれば目付の者へ相達し、
大科人は返し、小科の者は追放すべき事
附 手負いの者を隠し置いてはならない事
一 死罪を行う者がある時、申し付ける者以外は一切その場へ
駆け集まってはならない事
附 追いかける者も同前の事
一 喧嘩口論は不忠不孝の至りである、堅くこの
旨を心得よ、万一ある時は番所ではその座で切って相争うべし、
番人がいない所ではその場に近い者が相争うべし、
みだりに駆け集まって荷担する者はその科は本人より
重いものとする事
一 博打好色或いは落書き張り文等、恥を忘れ
侍に似合わない作法があってはならない事

must be requested during one's lifetime; however, for those fifty years old or above and seventeen years old or below,
deathbed adoptions must be established after deliberation, even if
they are one's real children, those of inappropriate lineage must not
be established
1. Those who have a master's protection must absolutely not be employed; if there are runaways
and the master requests their return, report to the inspector,
those guilty of major crimes shall be returned, those guilty of minor crimes shall be banished

1. When there are those to be executed, except for those ordered to carry it out, absolutely no one else may
gather at the scene

1. Fighting and quarreling are the height of disloyalty and unfilial conduct; firmly keep
this principle in mind. Should it occur, at guard posts they must immediately settle it on the spot,
in places where there are no guards, those nearby must settle it.
Those who arbitrarily gather to take sides shall receive punishment heavier
than the principal offenders
1. Gambling, debauchery, or posting graffiti and notices - forgetting shame and
engaging in conduct unbecoming of samurai must not occur
