一他所之侍当地罷通刻猥に屋敷え呼入
又は出逢ふへからす但理りあらは
月番之家老え相達差図之上可
参会事
一私用有之而従福井五里外え罷越又は
城下を離れ一宿之時は月番之家老え
相達任其旨可罷出若違背之族は
可為越度品により可為罪科事
一乗物は寄合番頭以上或は二千石以上之
嫡子或は五十歳以上曁【および】幼稚之輩免許之
此外病人は目付之者え相達可受差図
猥に不可令駕乗事
附法躰之《見せ消ち：背｜輩》は制外之事
一家宅之営作嫁娶之規式振舞衣類音信
贈答其外万事可為簡略事
一其組之頭申渡儀不可違背惣而我慢の
心なく忠実を励み家中可令一統事
右条々定之畢堅可相守者也
現代語訳
一 他所の侍が当地を通行する際、みだりに屋敷へ呼び入れたり
また出会ってはならない。但し理由があれば
月番の家老へ相談し、指図を受けた上で
面会すること
一 私用があって福井から五里外へ出かけ、または
城下を離れて一泊する時は月番の家老へ
相談し、その指示に従って出かけること。もし違背する者は
越度とし、内容によって罪科とすること
一 乗物は寄合番頭以上または二千石以上の
嫡子または五十歳以上及び幼い者に許可する。
この他、病人は目付の者へ相談して指図を受けること。
みだりに駕籠に乗ってはならないこと
附 法体の者は制限外のこと
一 家宅の建築、婚礼の儀式、振る舞い、衣類、音信、
贈答その他万事簡略にすること
一 その組の頭が申し渡した儀は違背してはならない。総じて我慢の
心なく忠実を励み、家中を一統させること
右の条々を定め終わった。堅く相守るべきである

1. When samurai from other domains pass through our territory, they should not be carelessly invited into residences
nor should meetings be arranged. However, if there is legitimate reason,
consult with the monthly duty elder and meet only after
receiving instructions
1. When having private business that requires traveling beyond five ri from Fukui, or when
leaving the castle town for an overnight stay, consult with the monthly duty elder
and depart according to those instructions. Those who violate this shall be
considered guilty of misconduct, and depending on the circumstances, subject to criminal punishment
1. Palanquins are permitted for those of yoriai bantō rank and above, or legitimate heirs of those with 2,000 koku or more,
or those fifty years of age and above, as well as young children.
Others who are ill should consult with the inspector and receive instructions.
Riding in palanquins carelessly is not permitted
Note: Buddhist monks are exempt from this restriction
1. House construction, wedding ceremonies, entertainments, clothing, correspondence,
gift exchanges and all other matters should be conducted with simplicity
1. Instructions given by one's group leader must not be disobeyed. In general, without stubborn
self-will, encourage loyalty and maintain unity throughout the house
