ぬくへき事
一 手代小役人等へ何によらす音物仕る
へからす惣而馳走かましき儀堅停止

一 あやつり哥舞妓其外見物遊ひ
物之類一切村中に差置ましき事

仕らす身を持立候様に常々可相守事

現代語訳
脱ぐべきこと
一、手代・小役人等へ何であろうと贈り物をしてはならない。総じて馳走をすることなど堅く禁止すること。
一、操り人形・歌舞・舞妓その他見物・遊戯の類は一切村中に置いてはならないこと。
一、衣類・食物その他万事において身分に過ぎた贅沢をせず、身を持ち立てるように常々守ること。
右の条々を村々の庄屋方に写し置き、毎年正月と七月の両度、怠りなく村中の者に読み聞かせること。なお庄屋・長百姓は心得て、常々総百姓に申し聞かせ、厳重に守らせるものである。よって下知は以上の通りである。
貞享四年丁卯十一月
一、十一月二十八日、新保浦の者が船商売のため当年四月に奥州南部へ向かい、帰帆の際に能登沖で難風に遭い、五月に朝鮮国へ漂流した。この件について、右の船を宗対馬守義真殿から大坂へ送り届けられたところ、同所町奉行小田切喜兵衛直利殿より

1. No gifts of any kind shall be given to clerks, minor officials, etc. In general, providing hospitality and such matters are strictly prohibited.
1. Puppet shows, singing and dancing, female entertainers, and other spectacles and amusements shall absolutely not be permitted in the village.
1. Regarding clothing, food, and all other matters, one shall not indulge in luxury beyond one's station, and shall constantly observe proper conduct to maintain one's livelihood.
The above articles shall be copied and kept at the village headmen's offices, and read aloud to all village residents twice yearly, in the first and seventh months, without fail. Furthermore, the village headmen and senior farmers shall keep these in mind and constantly remind all farmers, ensuring strict observance. Therefore, these orders are as stated above.

1. On the 28th day of the 11th month, a person from Shimbo-ura who had gone to Ōshū Nambu in the 4th month of this year for ship trading encountered a storm off the coast of Noto on his return voyage and drifted to Korea in the 5th month.
