私儀、生計が立て難くなりましたため、このたび江戸芝口三丁目の近江屋庄兵衛方へ、当亥年（嘉永四年）二月より五ヶ年の間、売子奉公に参りたく存じます。つきましては、その年限中、御宗門の印判をご免除いただけますようお願い申し上げます。
以上の趣をもって、御慈悲によりお願い申し上げます通りにお聞き届けいただけましたならば、ありがたく幸甚に存じます。以上。

As I find myself unable to make a proper living, I wish to travel to the establishment of Ōmiya Shōbei, located at Shibaguchi 3-chome in Edo, to serve as a traveling salesperson (uriko) for a period of five years beginning in the second month of this Year of the Boar (Kaei 4). Accordingly, I humbly request that I be granted an exemption from the religious census seal (*shūmon muhan*) for the duration of said term.
With the above in mind, I humbly beseech your benevolent consideration. Should our request be granted as stated, we would be most deeply grateful. Respectfully submitted.
