私の親類である山屋作右衛門の跡継ぎの件について、酒井清兵衛の次男喜七という者を婿として迎え入れ相続させ、居住させておりましたが、この度不和となりましたので離縁いたし、同人を実家へ送り返したいと存じます。つきましては願い上げ申し上げます。
右の趣旨について御慈悲をもって願い上げ申します通りにお命じいただけましたなら、ありがたい次第と存じます。以上

右の願書二通を十日に御役所において後藤新右衛門殿のお取り次ぎで差し上げ申しましたところ、同月二十六日に二通ともに中山磯右衛門殿のお取り次ぎで御聞き届けいただきました。清兵衛は両御奉行様へお礼申し上げて帰り、丁代甚右衛門を呼んで申し渡しました。

Regarding the succession of my relative Yamaya Sakuemon's family business, I had taken in Kichishichi, the second son of Sakai Seibei, as an adopted son-in-law to continue the family line, and he has been residing with us. However, due to recent discord, I wish to divorce him and send him back to his original family. Therefore, I humbly submit this petition.

These two petitions were submitted on the 10th day at the government office through the intermediation of Mr. Goto Shinuemon, and on the 26th of the same month, both petitions were approved through the intermediation of Mr. Nakayama Isoemon. Seibei expressed his gratitude to both magistrates, returned home, and called District Representative Jinuemon to inform him of the decision.
