一、諸番組（しょばんぐみ）・諸物頭（しょものがしら）子共・新番（しんばん）子共まで
右は鶴の間の頭（かしら）より一畳明けて、それより大御番所（おおごばんしょ）まで並び居る。
右の通り並び居り、御出になられる節、当日御祝儀申し上げる段、御用人が披露する。
但し、御家老中はいつも席を引き上げて出座する。また、二の間の御床柱際（おとこばしらぎわ）に御用人が出席する。もっとも御唐紙（おからかみ）は残らず取り払うこと。
一、今日一同に御礼を受けられることについて、番外（ばんがい）まで御用人より口達（くちたつ）し、役番外（やくばんがい）より諸物頭末の番外まで御目付（おめつけ）より口達する。

名替のことについて、右の通り仰せ出され候間、左様にご承知おきあるべき旨、書付をもって恒岡安左衛門（つねおかやすざえもん）が申し聞かす。

一、月次御礼を受けられる節に出仕の面々は、麻上下（あさかみしも）・継上下（つぎかみしも）両様のうち、都合次第に着用すべきこと。
一、五節句（ごせっく）のことはこれまでの通り麻上下を着用すべきこと。
右の通り仰せ出され候。以後に至って改められることがあれば、その節さらに仰せ出されるべく候。

Item: Members of the various guard units (*shobangumi*), sons of the various unit commanders (*shomono-gashira kodomo*), and sons of the new guard (*shinban kodomo*, down to the last):
The above are to line up from one mat's distance below the head [seat] of the Crane Room (*Tsuru-no-ma*), continuing through to the Great Guard Station (*Ōgobansho*).
When lined up in the above manner and when the lord proceeds out, the *goyōnin* shall formally announce that the ceremonial greetings of that day are being offered.
*Provided that: the senior councillors (*go-karōjū*) shall as always withdraw their seating and take their places [in a superior position]. Furthermore, the *goyōnin* is to take his seat near the decorative pillar of the alcove (*toko-bashira*) in the second room (*ni-no-ma*). Moreover, all sliding paper doors (*o-karakami*) are to be removed entirely.*
Item: Regarding the reception of ceremonial greetings from all assembled on this day: oral notification (*kuchitate*) is to be given by the *goyōnin* down to those outside the regular duty roster (*bangai*); and oral notification is to be given by the inspector (*ometsuke*) from the duty-exempt officials (*yakubangai*) down to the lowest-ranked of the various unit commanders' duty-exempt men.

○ The 3rd day of the 3rd month; the 5th day of the 5th month; the 7th day of the 7th month; the 1st day of the 8th month; the 9th day of the 9th month.
On the above dates there will be a *gosatsu* (a formal inspection/audience). On all other occasions, monthly attendance (*tsukinami shusshi*) is to be conducted with simple ceremonial dress (*sorei*).
○ The 7th day of the 1st month:
On this date, the *gosatsu* will proceed as far as the *goza-no-ma* (the lord's sitting room/presence chamber). Hereafter, this arrangement is fixed as above.

○ Regarding name changes (*namagae*): henceforth, petitions are to be submitted during years when the lord is in residence in the domain (*go-zaikoku no toshi*). Said petitions are to be submitted by the 1st day of the 12th month.
*Provided that: in years with an intercalary month (*urū*), as in the current year, petitions are to be submitted by the 1st day of the intercalary 12th month.*

Regarding the matter of name changes: as the above has been so ordered, Tsuneoka Yasuzaemon conveyed the directive in writing so that all parties may be duly informed.

○ A separate written notice was handed over by Matsudaira Kaname, with instructions to convey the contents to those under his supervision as well; accordingly, the following was communicated to each party.

Item: Permission is granted to forgo wearing *noshime* (a formal patterned silk kimono) during New Year's.
Item: On occasions when monthly ceremonial greetings (*tsukinami o-rei*) are received, those attending may choose at their own convenience between hemp formal dress with divided skirt (*asa-kamishimo*) and the joined-skirt formal dress (*tsugi-kamishimo*).
Item: For the Five Seasonal Festivals (*gosekku*), hemp formal dress with divided skirt (*asa-kamishimo*) shall continue to be worn as before.
The above has been so ordered. Should any revisions be made hereafter, a further directive will be issued at that time.
