### 三月十七日、江戸表にて林八右衛門より申し聞かされた内容：
毎月、御寺への御参詣の御定日に、万が一御延引（延期）あそばされた場合は、御家老中が御名代を相勤めるはずであるので、その節、我々（御徒目付）の内の壱人が相詰めるよう仰せ出された。なお、諸事については別紙書付の通り心得るべき旨、申し聞かされた由。右の書付を以下に記す。

### 17th Day of the 3rd Month — Conveyance by Hayashi Hachiemon at the Edo Residence:
It was conveyed that in the event of a postponement (*en'in*) of the lord's fixed monthly visits to the temples, the Senior Elders (*go-karōchū*) shall perform the duties of proxy representative (*o-naidai*). On such occasions, one of our number (i.e., from among the *o-kachi-metsuke*) shall be in attendance, as has been decreed. Furthermore, all matters are to be understood in accordance with a separately attached written notice, which was duly conveyed. Said written notice is recorded below.
