○殿様・若殿様・於義丸様・御前様・定姫様・広姫様・御庶子様
一、御家（藩）より外へ出られた場合、御男子様には「様」の字を用い、御女子様にはそのまま「様」の字を用いること。
一、御一門様方・御両敬の御方々様は、いずれも「様」の字を用いること。
但し、御三家様・御三卿様の御方々様は、いずれも「様」の字を用いること。

右の通り仰せ出された旨、御用人・渡辺十郎左衛門より申し聞かされた。

一、同年十月十九日、江戸表において右と同内容の書付を中根靱負が（関係者に）渡した。その末尾に左の通りの内容がある。

御家より外へ出られた御方様方のうち、御男子様は「様」の字を用い、御女子様方は「様」の字を用いること。
但し、公儀御養子（幕府への養子）となられた場合は、「様」の字を用いること。
御一門様方・御両敬の御方様方は、いずれも「様」の字を用いること。
但し、西厳院様・天崇院様・覚了院様については、「様」の字を用いること。
右の通り心得て、今後の書状等に記すべき旨、仰せ出された。

**寛政六年（1794年）寅年**
○これまで、毛屋（けや）の渡し舟を御渡舟（殿様一行の渡河）が使われる節は渡し舟を差し留めていたが、以後は御渡船がある場合でも、前後（前後の時間帯）は船留めにするには及ばず、渡し舟を運行させて往来させるよう仰せ出されたので、それぞれ（関係者が）取り扱うべき旨。
十月六日
右の通り、松平要人より申し聞かされたので、毛屋の侍中へ口上書をもって触れ知らせた。

**[Title listings of persons to whom the honorific "様 (sama)" is to be applied]**
○ The Lord (Tono-sama), the Young Lord (Waka-tono-sama), O-Gimaru-sama, O-Mae-sama, Sada-hime-sama, Hiro-hime-sama, and the illegitimate children (o-shoshi-sama).
1. When [members of] the domain household enter the service of an outside [family or household], male members are to be referred to using the character "様 (sama)," and female members likewise are to continue to use the character "様 (sama)."
2. Members of the related domain families (go-ichimон) and those of the rank of mutual respect (go-ryōkei) are all to be addressed using the character "様 (sama)."
Note: The members of the Three Senior Tokugawa Houses (go-sanke) and the Three Tokugawa Cadet Houses (go-sankyo) are likewise all to be addressed using the character "様 (sama)."

The above having been proclaimed, Go-yōnin (senior household official) Watanabe Jūrozaemon communicated this to those concerned.

1. On the 19th day of the 10th month of the same year, in Edo, Nakane Yukinojo distributed a document containing the same content as above. At the end of that document, the following was appended:
**Concerning those who have passed away:**
Former lords (御代々様), the Lady (御前様), and illegitimate children (御庶子様)
Regarding members of the household who have entered outside families: male members are to be addressed using the character "様 (sama)," and female members are to be addressed using the character "様 (sama)."
Note: If they have been adopted by the Shogunate (kōgi go-yō), the character "様 (sama)" is to be used.
Members of related domain families (go-ichimон) and those of the rank of mutual respect (go-ryōkei) are all to be addressed using the character "様 (sama)."
Note: Regarding Saigon-in-sama, Tensō-in-sama, and Kakuryō-in-sama, the character "様 (sama)" is to be used.
It has been proclaimed that all parties are to take note of the above and apply it henceforth in all written documents.

**Kansei 6th Year (1794), Year of the Tiger**
○ Until now, whenever the lord's official ferry boat (o-watashi-bune) crossed at Keya, all other ferry boats were stopped as a precaution. However, henceforth, even when the lord's official ferry boat is in use, it is not necessary to halt ferry services before and after its passage; ferry boats are to be allowed to continue running and people may cross as usual. This has been proclaimed, and all relevant parties are to handle matters accordingly.

The above having been communicated by Matsudaira Kaname, this was announced to the samurai retainers (侍中, samurai-chū) of Keya by means of an oral notice (kōjō-sho).
