一享保十三申年
○以手紙申達候今度御簡略被仰出候ニ付年始暑寒御機嫌伺を始御歓自分
御礼等江戸表之書状指上候儀相止尤奉書も不差出筈ニ候此以後左様之節ハ
七ッ蔵御番所迄朝四時ゟ八時前迄之内被罷出当番仲ケ間へ謁被申上筈ニ候
此段兼而可申達旨ニ付如此ニ候以上

追而暑寒御機嫌伺之儀ハ江戸表ゟ御左右以後罷出可被相伺候以上

一、享保十三申年（1728年）
○手紙をもって申し達し候。このたび御簡略が仰せ出され候につき、年始・暑中・寒中の御機嫌伺いをはじめ、御慶事・自分御礼等につき、江戸表へ書状を差し上げることは取り止め。もっとも奉書も差し出さない手筈に候。この以後、そのような節は七ッ蔵御番所まで、朝四つ時より八つ時前までの間にお越しいただき、当番仲間へ謁してお申し上げる手筈に候。この段、かねて申し達すべき旨につき、かくのごとくに候。以上。
六月十三日
追って、暑中・寒中の御機嫌伺いの儀は、江戸表よりご左右（＝お知らせ）の後、罷り出てご機嫌伺い申すべく候。以上。

○手紙をもって申し達し候。このたびの御簡略の儀につき、年始・暑中・寒中の御機嫌伺いをはじめ、御慶事ならびに自分御礼等、江戸表へ書状を差し出す儀は取り止め、向後そのような折は七ッ蔵御番所まで罷り出る手筈に相達し候えども、そのようにては他に差し支え候儀有之候につき、この以後、日限を定め置き、仲間が罷り出るようにいたすべき旨に候。よって向後の儀は別紙書付の通りご意を得られるべく候。以上。

Item: Kyōhō 13th year, the Year of the Monkey (1728)
○ I hereby communicate the following by letter. In light of the recently issued order for simplification of ceremonial practices, the sending of written correspondence to Edo regarding New Year greetings, summer and winter seasonal inquiries after one's lord's health, congratulatory ceremonies, and personal expressions of gratitude shall henceforth be discontinued. Furthermore, formal letters (hōsho) shall also not be submitted. From this point forward, on such occasions, all concerned parties are to present themselves at the Nanatsu-gura guardhouse between the hours of 4 o'clock and before 8 o'clock in the morning, where they shall present themselves to the duty colleagues (tōban nakama) and make their greetings. This has been communicated in advance as directed. The above is hereby communicated.
13th day of the 6th month
Addendum: Regarding the summer and winter seasonal inquiries after one's lord's health, parties are to come and pay their respects after receiving word from Edo. The above is hereby noted.

Regarding the current simplification of ceremonial practices, the sending of written correspondence to Edo for New Year greetings, summer and winter seasonal inquiries after one's lord's health, congratulatory ceremonies, and personal expressions of gratitude shall be discontinued, and it has been communicated that henceforth on such occasions all are to present themselves at the Nanatsu-gura guardhouse. However, as doing so in that manner has given rise to other complications and inconveniences, from this point forward a fixed schedule of dates shall be established, and colleagues (nakama) are to present themselves accordingly. Therefore, regarding future arrangements, please take note of the details as written in the attached document. The above is hereby communicated.
