一文化十一戌年  一十月三日別紙之通御用人申聞候ニ付夫々申渡之候          《割書:恒五郎(様)也》  一此度於江戸大奥御男子(様)御誕生被遊候組支配有之面々ハ   右之趣申聞   頭之恐悦申上候様可被申聞候  一公辺御届之儀ハ暫差延候左様被相心得此儀も可被申聞候      〆 一文化十二亥年  一正月十八日別紙之通被仰出候ニ付夫々申渡候旨御用人申   聞之        別紙   〇御出殿之節御貝役御礼申上候事   一新番組御貝役御書院番入被仰付御貝役其儘相勤候者御    出殿之節初而    御供ニ罷出候へハ御徒頭披露御礼可申上事   一右之面々 御留守年中ニ被仰付候共 御着城之上初而    御供ニ罷出候節矢    張御礼可申上事   一御貝役御加増等其外都而結構被仰付其後御出殿之節初    而御供ニ罷出候    得ハ御徒頭披露御礼申上来候処候処右御礼以後被相止    候事     但大御番御留守番無役御留守番組ゟ御貝役御書院番      入被申付候而も御礼      無之事    一御書院番組居形ニ而御貝役被仰付候節も御礼無之事    一御書院番御貝役ニ而休息被仰付其忰御貝役被仰付御     書院番組へ被入候節も     御礼無之事        〆 一文化十三子年  一十月十五日今日御礼後家督御礼初而之御目見等被仰付之   其節別紙書   付御用人相渡之       別紙

現代語訳

一、文化十一戌年(1814年)  一、十月三日、別紙の通り御用人より申し聞かせがあったので、それぞれに申し渡した。         《附:恒五郎様なり》  一、この度、江戸の大奥において御男子様がご誕生になられた。組支配のある面々は、右の趣旨を申し聞かせ、頭(かしら)への恐悦を申し上げるよう申し聞かせるべきこと。  一、公辺へのお届けの儀については、しばらく差し延べる。左様に心得るべく、この儀も申し聞かせるべきこと。       以上 一、文化十二亥年(1815年)  一、正月十八日、別紙の通り仰せ出されたので、それぞれに申し渡した旨、御用人より申し聞かせがあった。         別紙  ○御出殿の節、御貝役が御礼を申し上げることについて。  一、新番組の御貝役が御書院番入りを仰せ付けられ、御貝役をそのまま勤める者は、御出殿の節に初めて御供に罷り出た場合、御徒頭の披露をもって御礼を申し上げるべきこと。  一、右の面々が御留守中に仰せ付けられた場合であっても、御着城の上、初めて御供に罷り出る節に、矢張り御礼を申し上げるべきこと。  一、御貝役への御加増等、その外すべて結構なことを仰せ付けられ、その後御出殿の節に初めて御供に罷り出た場合は、御徒頭の披露をもって御礼を申し上げてきたところ、右の御礼は以後取り止めとなること。    但し、大御番・御留守番無役・御留守番組より御貝役・御書院番入りを仰せ付けられても、御礼は無きこと。    一、御書院番組に居形にて御貝役を仰せ付けられる節も、御礼は無きこと。    一、御書院番・御貝役にて休息を仰せ付けられ、その倅が御貝役を仰せ付けられ御書院番組へ入れられる節も、御礼は無きこと。       以上 一、文化十三子年(1816年)  一、十月十五日、今日の御礼の後、家督御礼・初めての御目見等を仰せ付けられた。その節に別紙書付を御用人が相渡した。         別紙

Item: Bunka 11th year, Year of the Dog (1814)  Item: On the 3rd day of the 10th month, the go-yōnin (chamberlain) communicated the following per the attached separate document, and notice was accordingly given to each party.         《Supplementary note: This concerns Tsunogorō-sama.》  Item: On this occasion, a male child (go-danshi-sama) has been born in the O-oku (the Inner Chambers) in Edo. Those who have personnel under their unit command (kumi-shihai) are to inform said personnel of this matter, and arrangements are to be made for them to offer their respectful congratulations (kyōetsu) to their commanding officer (kashira).  Item: The formal official notification (kōhen o-todoke) to the public authorities shall be postponed for the time being. All parties are to take note of this, and this point is likewise to be communicated.       End Item: Bunka 12th year, Year of the Boar (1815)  Item: On the 18th day of the 1st month, the go-yōnin communicated that, as decreed per the attached separate document, notice was accordingly given to each party.         Separate Document  ○ Concerning the presentation of formal salutations (o-rei) by the o-kaireki (shell-game attendants/pages) at the time of the lord's departure from the castle (go-shūden).  Item: Those serving as o-kaireki in the shin-ban-gumi (new guard unit) who are assigned to the o-shoin-ban (senior guard corps) and continue to serve as o-kaireki shall, upon their first attendance in the lord's retinue at the time of the lord's departure from the castle, present their formal salutation through the introduction of the o-kachi-gashira (commander of foot soldiers).  Item: Even if the aforementioned individuals received their appointments during the lord's absence from the castle, they shall likewise present their formal salutation upon first attending in the lord's retinue after his return to the castle.  Item: Previously, when o-kaireki received stipend increases (o-kuwaemashi) or other such honorable appointments, and thereafter first attended in the lord's retinue at the time of his departure from the castle, they presented their formal salutation through the introduction of the o-kachi-gashira. Henceforth, said formal salutation is to be discontinued.    Proviso: Even if persons from the ō-go-ban (senior guards), the o-rusui-ban murole (non-stipendiary castle-keepers), or the o-rusui-ban-gumi (castle-keeper unit) are appointed as o-kaireki and assigned to the o-shoin-ban, no formal salutation is required.    Item: When o-kaireki are appointed to the o-shoin-ban-gumi while remaining in their current post (igata), no formal salutation is required.    Item: When a member of the o-shoin-ban serving as o-kaireki is granted retirement (kyūsoku), and that person's son is subsequently appointed as o-kaireki and assigned to the o-shoin-ban-gumi, no formal salutation is required.       End Item: Bunka 13th year, Year of the Rat (1816)  Item: On the 15th day of the 10th month, following today's formal salutation ceremonies, appointments were made for the katoku o-rei (formal salutation upon succession to the household headship) and the first o-mie (formal audience).
