 貞昭様御膳番之次ニ立相勤候様右ニ付  会津へ罷下候儀難被任願旨被 仰聞  五十日之内昼夜御不寝共ニ引通相勤候事 一同年閏八月  貞昭様御膳番定仮役被 仰付候事 一同年九月  恭定様思召を以御除被置候金子御手を  相勤出精之者へ被下置之旨 御在世中  被 仰出候由ニ而金三両弐分被下置候事 一同年十一月  恭定様為御遺物御帷子一ツ御小袖二ツ被下  置候事 一同三寅年正月  貞昭様御尊骸会津へ御下被遊候処  此表へ御残被置御座之間へ  御形代様被遊御座候ニ付御中陰之内御膳番  仮役被 仰付詰切御番相勤候事 一同年三月当務御免被成嫡子一ト通被  仰付是迄出精相勤候ニ付為御褒美銀子  弐枚綿弐把被下置候事

現代語訳

貞昭様の御膳番の次に立って相勤めるよう、これにより会津へ下ることは願いに任せ難い旨を仰せ聞かされ、五十日の間、昼夜の御不寝とも引き通して相勤めたこと 一、同年閏八月、貞昭様の御膳番定仮役を仰せ付けられたこと 一、同年九月、恭定様の思し召しをもって御除け置かれた金子を、御手を相勤め出精の者へ下し置かれる旨、御在世中に仰せ出されたとのことで、金三両二分を下し置かれたこと 一、同年十一月、恭定様の御遺物として御帷子一つ、御小袖二つを下し置かれたこと 一、同三寅年正月、貞昭様の御尊骸が会津へ御下りになったが、この表(江戸)へ御残し置かれ、御座之間へ御形代様が御座しになることにより、御中陰の間、御膳番仮役を仰せ付けられ、詰切御番を相勤めたこと 一、同年三月、当務を御免になり、嫡子一人通りを仰せ付けられ、これまで出精して相勤めたことにより、御褒美として銀子二枚、綿二把を下し置かれたこと

英語訳

He was told to serve next in line for Lord Sadaaki's meal service (gozenban), and due to this, it would be difficult to grant his wish to go down to Aizu. For fifty days, he served continuously through both day and night vigils without sleep. 1. In the same year, intercalary 8th month: He was appointed to the temporary position of regular meal attendant (gozenban) for Lord Sadaaki. 1. In the same year, 9th month: Through Lord Kyōtei's thoughtful consideration, money that had been set aside was to be given to those who served diligently in personal attendance, as had been announced during his lifetime. Accordingly, he was given 3 ryō and 2 bu in gold. 1. In the same year, 11th month: As relics from Lord Kyōtei, he was given one court robe (katabira) and two small-sleeved garments (kosode). 1. In the same 3rd year, Tiger year, 1st month: When Lord Sadaaki's remains were taken down to Aizu, a symbolic representation (katashiro) was kept here [in Edo] and placed in the formal reception room. During the mourning period (chūin), he was appointed as temporary meal attendant and served continuous guard duty. 1. In the same year, 3rd month: He was relieved of his current duties, and his eldest son was appointed to a position. In recognition of his diligent service up to this point, he was awarded 2 pieces of silver and 2 bundles of cotton as a reward.
