此物 東叡山（とうゑいさん）坊中（ほうちう）維摩院（ゆいまいん）権僧正師（こんさうしようし）
珍蔵（ちんさう）する物也其形状根の処 一握（ひとにき）り
の大さにして一茎数枝を分ち叢生（さうせい）し
長さ二尺許り茎の頭 毎（こと）に平き蓋（かい）あり
其蓋と茎と直（すく）に着（つ）くこと杓子の如し
除（よ）の芝の傘状（さんしやう）をなすに異（こと）なれり色紫
黒色にして全体光沢ありて漆（しつ）にて塗（ぬり）
か如し奇品と云へし集解の木渠子（もくきよし）の
類なり

木渠芝（もくきょし）《集解より》
この物は東叡山の坊中、維摩院の権僧正師が
珍蔵している物である。その形状は、根の部分が一握り
ほどの大きさで、一つの茎から数本の枝に分かれて叢生し、
長さは二尺ほど。茎の頭部にはそれぞれ平たい傘がある。
その傘と茎とがまっすぐに付いていることは杓子のようである。
他の芝が傘状をなすのとは異なっている。色は紫
黒色で全体に光沢があり、漆で塗った
ようである。奇品と言うべきである。『集解』の木渠子の
類である。

Wood Channel Ganoderma (Mokukyoshi) 《From Jikai (Collected Explanations)》
This specimen is something treasured by the assistant head priest of Yuima-in temple within the monastery compounds of Tōeizan. Its form has roots about the size of one handful, with one stem dividing into several branches growing in clusters, approximately two shaku in length. At the head of each stem is a flat cap. The way this cap attaches straight to the stem is like a ladle. This differs from other ganoderma that form umbrella shapes. The color is purple-black, with the entire surface having a lustrous quality as if lacquered. It can be called a rare specimen. It belongs to the category of Mokukyoshi described in the Jikai.
