【右丁】
くりたけ
看菌譜に載せられた図。菌史によると、しいたけに似ているが、形がやや痩せているものがあるという。
【左丁】
まつおおじ
菌史に載せられた図。同書によると、古い松の木の根や枝先に生える。形は松茸に似て、傘が張って上を向いている。白色で微かに黄色を帯びている。小さいものは一、二寸、大きいものは一尺近くになる。弾力があってなめらかで、微かに苦く松の香りがある。腹痛や下痢を止める効能がある。また、茎に黄色があって傘の上に黒い点があるものもあるという。

Matsu-ōji (Pine mushroom)
Illustration from the Kinshi (Mushroom History). According to the same book, it grows on the roots or branch tips of old pine trees. Its shape resembles matsutake, with the cap spread and facing upward. It is white with a slight yellow tinge. Small ones are one to two sun in size, while large ones approach one shaku. It is resilient and smooth, slightly bitter with a pine fragrance. It has the efficacy of stopping abdominal pain and diarrhea. There are also specimens with yellow on the stem and black spots on the cap.
