　　　　　　　一軍学躾方朝四ツ時ゟ九ツ時迄夕七ツ時ゟ暮迄之内申合差支無之様稽古可致事

　　　　　　　一於時習館掛リ御役人ハ勿論師匠並世話役被仰付候者申付違背致不行跡之もの於有之ハ自分弁当ニテ

　　　　　　　一書物伝授之儀流儀々々仕来ニテ遅速之儀あながち一様ニも相成間敷又流ニテ茂其者之性質且修行

【本文】
一、軍学・躾方は朝四つ時より九つ時まで、夕七つ時より暮れまでの内で申し合わせ、差し支えなく稽古すべきこと

一、終日稽古する節は名前を係の者へ書き出し、師匠の宅にて致すべきこと

一、右の芸術の師匠は怠慢なく罷り出で、精々取り立て申すべきこと。もっとも御役人以下御広間勤めの者は御番を免除されること
但し日勤または御用多き御役向きは御用の透いた時に罷り出で、その余は高弟の者が罷り出で世話すべきこと

一、一流につき高弟の者にて世話が行き届く者を見立て、師匠より書き出すべきこと。右の者へ世話を仰せ付けられるため、これまた御広間勤めの者は御番を免除されること

一、鉄砲稽古の義は御帳前係を仰せ付けられた者、天王矢場並びに師匠は勿論、高弟の者も師に差し添え稽古の世話をして出精すべきこと

一、稽古出席の義は月々師匠に記し置き、毎月朔日に目付へ差し出すべきこと
但し名前の上に星を付けること

一、書物伝授が済んだ者へはその度々御褒美を下し置かれること

当時における文武修行の状態並びに時習館の有様はこれにて大要分かることであると思う。左の触書は実にその頃における風俗を窺い知らしめる上において至極面白いものであると思うから、これも全文をここに掲げて見ようと思う。

**倹約に関する席触**
天保十五年九月十八日席触の写し

先だっても度々仰せ出され候ところ、御家中の者並びに組支配の内町方へ罷り出で、饂飩屋並びに酒屋等へ立ち寄り、その外みだりに所々徘徊する義は相成らぬ趣、兼々御沙汰もあり候ところ、中には心得違いの者があるやに聞こえ、不埒のことに候。向後右様心得違いの者がある場合は御吟味の上急度御沙汰に及ぶべく候。

一、風巾の義、これまで四月朔日より五月六日限り揚げ来たり候ところ、以来正月一ヶ月限り揚げるべく候。もっとも紙数の義は端切れ紙十枚に限り、尾巾の義はこれまで通りとすること
但し彩色絵は一切相成らぬこと

1. Military studies and discipline training shall be conducted from the fourth hour of morning until the ninth hour, and from the seventh hour of evening until sunset, arranged through mutual agreement without impediment.

1. When conducting full-day training, names shall be written out to the responsible officials and conducted at the master's residence.

1. Masters of these arts shall attend without negligence and devote themselves to training students. Officials and those serving in the great hall shall be exempted from guard duties.
However, those with daily duties or numerous official responsibilities shall attend when their duties permit, and senior disciples shall attend and assist with the others.

1. For each school, senior disciples who can provide adequate guidance shall be selected and reported by the masters. Since these individuals will be assigned supervisory duties, those serving in the great hall shall also be exempted from guard duties.
However, they shall serve guard duties during rest months in the six-month rotation.

1. Lectures, round-robin readings, and group readings shall be conducted from the eighth hour to the seventh hour. Those conducting home lectures must also attend Jishūkan.
Ōta Rosaburo, Nishioka Kaizō, and Yamamoto Kansaburō shall attend to give lectures and guide disciples.
During this one-hour period, all other training shall cease and everyone shall listen.

1. Group readings, round-robin lectures, poetry and prose meetings shall be frequently conducted for advanced students.
However, matters related to national learning and all literary pursuits are at one's discretion.

1. Basic reading instruction shall be maintained diligently as before.

1. Regarding firearms training, those appointed to record-keeping duties, those at Tennō archery range, masters, and senior disciples shall assist masters in training and supervision with diligence.

1. Training attendance shall be recorded monthly by masters and submitted to inspectors on the first day of each month.
However, names shall be marked with stars above.

1. Those who complete book transmission shall receive rewards each time.

1. At Jishūkan, if there are those who disobey the instructions of responsible officials, masters, and appointed supervisors, and conduct themselves improperly, they shall be confined to Jishūkan for ten days at their own expense.

1. Regarding book transmission, each school has its own traditions regarding speed, which cannot be uniform. Also, depending on the individual's nature and training progress, it may be difficult to set time limits. However, it has been heard that some, despite having immature skills in their art, desire books, or masters promote them quickly for advancement. Although this has been proclaimed repeatedly before, retainers and those under group supervision going out to town and stopping at noodle shops, sake shops, and wandering about various places indiscriminately is not permitted, as has been previously announced. However, it appears there are some who misunderstand, which is improper. Henceforth, those who show such misunderstanding shall be strictly investigated and reprimanded.

1. Regarding wind caps (fūkin), whereas until now they were raised from the 1st day of the 4th month through the 6th day of the 5th month, henceforth they shall be raised only during the 1st month. The number of papers shall be limited to ten sheets of scrap paper, and tail caps shall remain as before.
However, colored paintings are completely forbidden.
