番場の忠二があれこれと勧め出し、大将その日の出で立ちは、鳶色縮緛の三つ所紋に黒縮緛の小袖、緋緞子の帯、黒絽の頭巾、猪首に着なし、一騎当千の者二三人引き連れ、大磯へお忍び寄せければ、舞鶴屋の太夫滝川を約束しておき、初回なれば茶屋まで迎えに出で、新之丞がその男ぶりに馴れ初め深き仲となりけり。これより忠二お気に入りとなり、当座の御褒美として白銀作りの置物を下されり。
