【右丁】
　　　物体がよく、いわゆる立派な花
　　　であるということで、三花に追
　　　加して皐月の八木
　　　と言われている。

　　○　接ぎ方
　　　時期は二月中頃より
　　　五月中頃まではさほど困難
　　　ではない。台木を引き
　　　切り、鋸の目がないように
　　　切り口を削り、そして皮
　　　を削り、少しも余分な
　　　皮がないように

　　　また皮より深く身の
　　　木を削るのは良くない。台
　　　木、穂木、両方共に
　　　同様である。組み合わせて削る
　　　長さは六、七分程度の間、
　　　最も重要なのは小刀をよく砥いで
　　　研いだものを使うことである。間違って
　　　塩気などに使った
　　　刀は大変有害である。程よく
　　　切れるものを以て接いだ
　　　ものは良い細工であるが、
　　　生きた木を削るのであれば、

　　○　Grafting Method
　　　The timing is from around mid-February
　　　to around mid-May, which is not particularly
　　　difficult. Pull and cut the rootstock,
　　　削the cut surface so there are no saw marks,
　　　then pare the bark,
　　　ensuring there is no excess
　　　bark remaining.
