【右丁上段】
余りがあり、味は美味である。皮は刀の柄や鞘に使われる。
○金頭（かながしら）は魴鮄（ほうぼう）に似ている。小児の食い初めには必ず用いる。
○鱠残魚（きすご）は一名を王餘魚（わうよぎょ）という。呉王が船中で鱠（なます）を海に捨てたところ、それが魚になったという。今の王余魚（わうよぎょ）がこれである。
○鮒（ふな）は小鯉に似て色が黒い。五味に合わせて煮て食すれば

虚羸（きょろい・衰弱）をつかさどる。体内を温め、気を下し、下痢や腸の痔を止める。蓴菜（じゅんさい）と合わせて吸い物にすれば、胃が弱くて食物が消化しないのをつかさどり、体内を整えて五臓を増強する。
○鯰（なまず）は水腫を治し、小便を利し、下血や脱肛の痛みに、葱と一緒に煮て食すとよい。

○Red gurnard (kanagashira) resembles the red gurnard (hōbō). It is always used for infants' first feeding ceremony.
○Whiting (kisugu) is also called king's remainder fish (ōyo-gyo). When the King of Wu threw sashimi from his ship into the sea, it became fish. Today's king's remainder fish is this.
○Crucian carp (funa) resembles small carp and is black in color. When boiled with the five flavors and eaten, it

governs deficiency and emaciation. It warms the interior, moves qi downward, and stops diarrhea and intestinal hemorrhoids. When combined with water shield and made into soup, it governs cases where the stomach is weak and food does not digest, regulates the interior, and strengthens the five organs.
○Catfish (namazu) treats edema, promotes urination, and is good when boiled with scallions and eaten for rectal bleeding and pain from prolapse.
