好色不老門（かうしよくふろうもん）
吉田（よしだ）の庵（いほ）の通（とを）り物（もの）のいましめにも色（いろ）好（この）まざらん男（おのご）は
いつも大晦日（おふみそか）の心地（こゝち）也（なり）と善哉（よいかな）〳〵尤（もつとも）宜（むべ）也（なり）教主（きやうしゆ）の
釈迦（しやか）は羅睺羅（らごら）をいだき達磨大師（だるまだいし）は表具屋（ひやうぐや）のかんばんと現（げん）じ
往来（ゆきゝ）の女を尻目（しりめ）に懸（かけ）てじろ〳〵見やる是（これ）からみるに
色（いろ）がなけれは世界（せかい）はやみじや此（この）五巻（いつまき）のすさみを
見るに頭（づ）の白妙（しろたへ）のかたい親父（おやぢ）もさながら若（わか）□
〴〵心地（こゝち）すれば是（これ）や老（おひ）せぬ門（かど）ならんと爾（しか）いふ
現代語訳
好色不老門（こうしょくふろうもん）
吉田兼好の『徒然草』の教えにも「色を好まない男はいつも大晦日のような憂鬱な心地である」とあるが、まことにその通りである。教主である釈迦も羅睺羅という息子を抱き、達磨大師も表具屋の看板となって現れ、往来の女性を横目で見ながらじろじろと眺めている。これから考えると、色恋がなければ世界は闇のようなものである。この五巻の戯れ事を見ると、頭の真っ白な堅い親父でもそのまま若々しい心地がするので、これこそ老いることのない門なのであろうと、そのように言うのである。

The Gate of Eternal Youth through Love (Kōshoku Furōmon)
As the teachings in Yoshida Kenkō's "Tsurezuregusa" (Essays in Idleness) state, "A man who does not appreciate love always feels as gloomy as New Year's Eve" - this is indeed most true and proper. Even Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, embraced his son Rahula, and even the great Dharma master appears as a shop sign for a picture framer, casting sidelong glances at women passing by and gazing at them intently. From this perspective, without romantic love, the world would be like darkness. When one reads these five volumes of playful tales, even a stern old man with snow-white hair feels as youthful as ever, so this must truly be the gate that prevents aging - thus it is said.
