英語訳
(One: to serve as a substitute for the floor spread/carpet) This serves as the Crown Prince's ordinary seat (jinjō no omashi). To the east of the imperial curtained dais (michō), a fukuhaku shōji (a type of decorative screen/panel) is erected, and one folding screen (byōbu) is set up on both sides. In front of the michō, one tōri-shōji (a standing translucent panel) is placed, and inside this, tatami mats are laid at both ends, upon which nishikikusaton (brocade grass-cushions/stools) are placed to serve as the seat of the Chūgū (Empress/Imperial Consort).
(This time, the nōshōji [bag-shaped stool] is not set up.)
To the north of the michō, tatami mats are laid to serve as the seats for the ladies-in-waiting (nyokan).
Along the western wall of the main hall (moya) of the Bōshi's quarters, four four-shaku-tall cabinet shelves (shaku-dana zushi) are lined up (running north to south) to display ceremonial provisions (gokō noigi omono).
(In recent precedents, two units are used: one unit holds fifteen cups of Chinese confections [karakashi] and fifteen cups of fruit/wooden confections [kikashi]; the other unit holds thirty cups of dried foods [himono] and flower-arrangement trays [moribana-ban].)
At the eastern edge of the michō in the third bay from the east, a ceremonial seat for the Genpuku ritual is arranged. (A ceremonial chair [oi-shi] is placed facing south, serving as a substitute for the floor spread.) [Continues on next page...]
