現代語訳
（屏風は坊司が立て、畳に茵を加えて敷く。）御帳の後ろに廻り御屏風二帖を立て、御粧物所を設ける。（節会の儀に同じ。）
軒廊の西第二間の北辺の柱の下に、主水司が洗手具を設ける。（楾・盥・手巾を八足机の上に置く。手巾は栖莒に納める。）
主殿寮は、左右近陣の前に屏幔を立てる。鈴鑰等の辛櫃は宜陽殿の西廂・日華門南腋に運び置く。（南北に並べる。）幄を立てて侍従の座とする。（今度はこれを略し、門の南廊をその場所とする。）
坊司は南庭の版位より南に、東西に分けて屯食を立て並べる。（東西の間隔は承明門の東西の戸に当たる程とする。）
禄の辛櫃は日華門南廊の西砌に置く。（春興殿の西砌に擬える。）所司は南栄〔に…〕
英語訳
(The folding screens are erected by the Bōshi, and rush mats [tatami] with cushions [in] are spread upon them.) Behind the imperial curtained dais (michō), two folding screens are placed around it, and the imperial toiletry/dressing area (go-shōmonojo) is established. (Same as the protocol for the Seasonal Banquet [setsukai].)
At the base of the northern-side pillar of the second bay from the west in the eave corridor (nokurō), the Bureau of Water (Suishi) sets up hand-washing equipment. (A hand-rinsing ewer [hisakata], a washbasin [tarai], and hand towels [tenkin] are placed on an eight-legged table [hassoku-tsukue]. The hand towels are stored in a wicker basket [seikyo].)
The Bureau of the Palace Storehouses (Tonomo-ryō) erects curtain-screens (heimaku) in front of the left and right inner guard positions (kin-jin). The lacquered chests (karabitsu) containing bell-keys (suzu-kagi) and other items are transported and placed in the western eave-chamber (nishi-bisashi) of Giyōden and at the southern side passage (minami-waki) of the Nikka Gate (Nikkamon). (Arranged in a north-south line.) A tent/canopy (aku) is erected to serve as the seat for the Imperial Attendants (jijū). (This time it is omitted; the south corridor of the gate serves as that location instead.)
The Bōshi arranges the food offerings (tonsoku) to the south of the rank-marker boards (hanī) in the southern courtyard, divided on the east and west sides. (The east-west spacing corresponds to the distance between the eastern and western doors of the Shōmei Gate [Shōmeimon].)
The lacquered chests (karabitsu) of gifts/stipends (roku) are placed at the western stone pavement (nishi-mizugiri) of the south corridor of the Nikka Gate. (Modeled after the western pavement of Shunkōden.) The Shoshi [administrative officers] at the southern glory/eave [proceed to...]
