一、近衛関白殿の左大臣辞退について勅許を賜りたく、鷹司右大臣、大炊御門前内大臣が順次転任させられたいとの内々のご意向があり、伝奏衆が申し聞かせたとの旨を、両卿からの書付で差し越され、承知いたしました。この件については追って申し入れいたします。
一、議奏の中で、高辻前大納言は老衰、富小路三位は当春より病気のため、お役目を辞退申し上げました。この両名の代わりに、菊亭前大納言、東園前中納言を任命しようとお考えです。これについて、伝奏衆からの書付を差し越され、一覧し、その上でご自分のお考えを申し越され、詳細に承りました。北条播磨守にも様子を尋ねましたところ、東園のことは不適当であると皆が存じますので、除外して、他に適当な人物の書付をお出しいただくよう両卿にお伝えし、追ってお申し聞かせします。

The court nobles' written notification that the denso (court liaison officials) had reported this matter was sent over, and we have acknowledged it. We will address this matter later.
