猿猴草
猿猴と云獸 に似て亦似り人に
不 言（ものいわ）臂（ひじ）長者也此の草延め
莖垂る下え似り猿猴の手に故名

金立草 立金花の一 同（るい）にめ莖葉花皆同め
横靭者名く金立花と

現代語訳
猿猴草（えんこうそう）
猿猴という獣は人に似ているが、
ものを言わず、肘が長い。この草は茎を延ばして
下に垂れ下がり、猿猴の手に似ているので、この名がある。

金立草（きんりつそう） 立金花の一類で、茎・葉・花はすべて同じで
横に靡いているものを金立花と名付ける

The beast called monkey resembles humans but
does not speak and has long arms. This grass extends its stem and
hangs downward, resembling a monkey's hand, hence the name.
