銀杏（ギンキヨウ） 和 伊天宇（イテウ）俗云 《割書：異｜名｜》白果《割書：日｜用｜》
名 岐牟阿牟（ギンアン）
鴨脚子（カウキヤクシ）
銀杏其ノ葉刻鈌深キ者ハ雄也不結實ヲ
三稜ナル實爲雄ト二稜ナル實爲雌則實ヲ結フ
雌ハ其葉刻鈌 畧（スクナシ）シナ葉ノ内無キモアリ
著花圖上ニ爲ス如シ花ニシテ花ニ非ラス山
椒粒ノ無 花片（ハナヒラ）二顆一双朝ニ見レハ樹下ヲ
日々有リ落花莖其實民用ニ利アリ

銀杏（ぎんきょう） 和名 いちょう 俗に言う 異名：白果（日用）
名 ぎんあん
鴨脚子（こうきゃくし）
銀杏はその葉の切れ込みが深いものは雄であり実を結ばない。
三稜の実は雄であり、二稜の実は雌であって、実を結ぶ。
雌はその葉の切れ込みがやや少なく、葉の内に（切れ込みが）ないものもある。
著花の図（挿図）の上に示すように、花のようであって花ではない。山
椒の粒のように花びらがなく、二顆が一双となっており、朝に見れば樹下に
日々落花がある。莖（茎）の実は民の用に利がある。

The "Tashiki-hen," Mountain Fruits section, states:
Ginkyo (銀杏, ginkgo) Japanese name: Ichō Commonly called Alternative name: Hakka (白果) [as noted in daily use texts]

Kōkyakushi (鴨脚子)
In the ginkgo, those whose leaves have deep lobes are male, and they do not bear fruit.
Fruit with three ridges is male, and fruit with two ridges is female, which bears fruit.
The female has leaves with slightly fewer lobes, and some have no lobing within the leaf.
As shown in the illustration of the flowers above, it appears to be a flower but is not truly a flower. Like
Sichuan pepper berries with no petals, two fruits form a pair; if one looks in the morning beneath the tree,
fallen flowers are found there daily. The fruit of the stem is of benefit for people's use.
