差上申一札之事
一当村石切之儀村中不残取調候所
壱人も無御座候若此上ニも不吟味之儀
有之後日及御聞被成候ハヽ其元様ゟ早速
御注進可被成候其上何様之御咎筋
被 仰付候共少も御恨申間敷候
為後日連印仕差上申一札如件

差し上げ申し上げる一札の件
一、当村の石切の件について、村中残らず取り調べましたところ、一人もおりません。もしこの上にも調査不十分な件がございまして、後日お聞きになられましたならば、そちら様からすぐにご注進くださいませ。その上でどのようなお咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しも恨み申すことはございません。
後日の証拠として連印いたし、差し上げ申し上げる一札は以上の通りです。

Certificate of Submission
Regarding the matter of stone cutters in our village, we have thoroughly investigated throughout the entire village and found that there is not a single person engaged in this occupation. Should there be any matters we failed to investigate properly, and should you learn of them later, please immediately report to us from your side. Even if any punishment is imposed upon us as a result, we will harbor no resentment whatsoever.
As proof for future reference, we affix our joint seals and submit this certificate as stated above.
