【上巻廿七丁裏】
十二▲又口米夫米共に千八百丗石四斗有時此内夫米
ばかりは何ほとあるそといふ時に
夫米 千三百七拾弍石八斗といふ
先千八百丗石四斗に六舛をかくれは一下九八二
四と成 これを八舛を以てわれは夫米と成也
十三▲年／貢（く）米八石六斗七舛をさめ申時に右の内
一石に付口米弍舛つゝ引て納米何ほとそと云時

【上巻二十七丁裏】
十二 また口米・夫米合わせて千八百三十石四斗あるとき、その内夫米だけはどれほどかというと、
夫米 千三百七十二石八斗という。
まず千八百三十石四斗に六升をかければ一・下九八二四となる。これを八升をもって割れば夫米となる。
十三 年貢米八石六斗七升を納めるとき、右の内一石につき口米二升ずつ引いて、納め米はどれほどかというと、
納め 八石五斗という。
右に八石六斗七升と置き、これを一石二升にて割れば、納め米八石五斗と知れる。
【上巻二十八丁表】
銀六百七十五匁を年貢のかたに納めるとき、一石につき二十五匁ずつの算用にして、口米を引いてどれほど納めるかというと、
納め 二十六石四斗七升五勺八才という。
右に六百七十五匁と置き、左に一石の代（あたい）二十五匁と置く。これにまた口米二升分の銀五分を加えて二十五匁五分あり。これにて右の銀六百七十五匁を割れば、二十六石四斗七升五勺八才と知るべし。
また夫米共に云うも、右同前（同様）である。

**[Problem] 12.** Again, when *kuchigome* and *fūmai* combined amount to 1,830 koku 4 *to*, how much is the *fūmai* alone?
*Fūmai*: 1,372 koku 8 *to*, it is said.
First, multiply 1,830 koku 4 *to* by 6 *shō* (0.06), yielding 1 [*koku*]·lower 9824 (*ichi, shita kyū-hachi-ni-shi*). Divide this by 8 *shō* (0.08) to obtain the *fūmai*.
**[Problem] 13.** When paying a tribute rice (*nengūmai*) of 8 koku 6 *to* 7 *shō*, and deducting 2 *shō* of *kuchigome* per koku from the said amount, how much is the net payment (*osame*)?
Payment: 8 koku 5 *to*, it is said.
Place 8 koku 6 *to* 7 *shō* on the right, and divide this by 1 koku 2 *shō* (1.02); the net payment of 8 koku 5 *to* will be found.

When paying 675 *monme* of silver as tribute, calculated at 25 *monme* per koku, and deducting the *kuchigome*, how much [in koku] is to be paid?
Payment: 26 koku 4 *to* 7 *shō* 5 *shaku* 8 *sai*, it is said.
Place 675 *monme* on the right, and on the left place the price of 1 koku at 25 *monme*. Add to this the silver equivalent of 2 *shō* of *kuchigome*, which is 5 *bu* (*fun*), making 25 *monme* 5 *bu* in total. Divide the silver on the right—675 *monme*—by this amount, and you will find 26 koku 4 *to* 7 *shō* 5 *shaku* 8 *sai*.
The same method applies equally when *fūmai* is also included.
