【上巻四十八丁裏】
まつ上せんのさうば十七匁と左にをきて
又中せんのさうは十五匁四分を加へる時に
合三拾弐匁四分に成 これにて右の弐百五十
四匁三分四りんをわれは七貫八百五十文つゝに
なるとしるとしるへし

現代語訳
【上巻四十八丁裏】
まず上銭の相場17匁を左に置き、
また中銭の相場15匁4分を加えると、
合計32匁4分になる。これで右の254匁3分4厘を
割れば、7貫850文ずつになると知るべし。
【上巻四十九丁表】
[頭書（見出し）] 万（よろず）利（り）足（そく）
▲銀6貫850匁を貸したとき、1割5分の利率で、
その銀の利息はいくらかという場合、
利息 1貫27匁5分という。
まず6貫850匁を右に置き、1割5分をかけるのである。
▲銀4貫300匁を貸したとき、1割2分の利率で、元金と
利息を合わせていくらになるかという場合、
元利合計 4貫816匁という。
まず4貫300匁を右に置き、左に11匁2分を置いて、
これを右へかければ、元利合計で4貫816匁となる。

First, place the exchange rate for premium coins, 17 monme, on the left.
Then add the exchange rate for medium coins, 15 monme 4 bu, giving a combined total of 32 monme 4 bu.
Dividing the 254 monme 3 bu 4 rin on the right by this will yield 7 kan 850 mon each, as you should know.

the interest on said silver is:

First, place 6 kan 850 monme on the right, then multiply by 1 wari 5 bu (0.15).
▲When 4 kan 300 monme of silver is lent out at an interest rate of 1 wari 2 bu (12%),
the combined total of principal and interest is:
Principal and interest combined: 4 kan 816 monme.
First, place 4 kan 300 monme on the right, place 11 monme 2 bu on the left,
and multiply this into the right side — the result, principal and interest combined, will be 4 kan 816 monme.
