一　当村石切之儀委詮儀仕候処此外壱人も

差出申一札之事

一、当村の石切の件について詳しく調査いたしましたところ、この他に一人もおりません。そうである以上は、石切が旅先において十分に誠実に正しい道を歩むよう申し付け、承知いたしました。帳面から除外して隠し置いた件がお耳に入りましたならば、そちら様にご報告くださるとのこと、承知いたしました。その上で私どもがどのような御咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しも御恨み申し上げることはございません。後日のため請負証文として、よって件の如し。

Item: Regarding the matter of stone cutters from our village, we have conducted a thorough investigation and found that there are no others beyond those already reported. Given this situation, we have instructed the stone cutters to conduct themselves with utmost sincerity and righteousness while traveling, and we have acknowledged this. We understand that if it comes to your attention that we have excluded anyone from the records and concealed them, you will report this matter to the authorities. Furthermore, whatever punishment may be imposed upon us, we shall harbor no resentment whatsoever. This serves as a guarantee document for future reference, therefore as stated above.
