The mosquitoes must be stinging the one in love Mado
And yet, how cold-hearted is the wandering god Yo
The brush is swept away by the waves of the raft Ukō
The moon in the wind quietly fades, blown away breath by breath Mado
Tomorrow it is sold — the morning glory that knows not which house Yo
Turning one's face toward the autumn of Mount Tsukuba Ukō
On days when the cranes do not come, the clouds are unsightly Mado
Cherry blossoms falling — each person's own linked cherry trees Yo
