友人恋川春町か作りし楠 無益委記（むたいき）を
よみつゝとろ〴〵とまどろみし夢のうちに
彼人皇三万三千三百三十三代にあたりて
いやましに治れる御代のさまを見侍りしが
無益委記の趣に少しも違ふ事なし
而してかの巻に漏（もれ）たる事をひろひ
あげてまた小冊としあはれ長生してかゝる
事をまさに見たしと思ふよりとりあへす
長生見度記（ながいきみたひき）と題（だひ）して 喜三二書

序
友人恋川春町が作った「無益委記（むたいき）」を読みながら、うとうととまどろんでいた夢の中で、人皇三万三千三百三十三代の頃に、ますます平和に治まっている御世の様子を見たのですが、「無益委記」に書かれていることと少しも違っていませんでした。そして、その書物に書き漏らされた事柄を拾い上げて、また小さな冊子を作りました。ああ、長生きして、このような時代をぜひ見てみたいと思うことから、とりあえず「長生見度記（ながいきみたひき）」と題名をつけました。

Preface
While reading my friend Koikawa Harumachi's work "Mueki Iki" (Record of Useless Matters), I dozed off and in my dreams saw the state of the realm during the reign of the 33,333rd Human Emperor, when the world was governed in even greater peace. What I saw was exactly as described in "Mueki Iki" without the slightest difference. I then gathered up the matters that had been omitted from that volume and compiled them into this small booklet. Thinking "Oh, how I would love to live long enough to actually witness such times," I have tentatively titled this work "Chōsei Mitahiki" (Record of Things I Wish to See in a Long Life).
