一 当年作間石切名前書上仕候外壱人茂
無御座候猶又村中入念一々取調仕候処
少茂相違無御座候若此上ニ茂不吟味成
儀有之為後日被及御聞候ハヽ其御元ゟ
早速御注進可被成候其段御調之上何様
御咎筋被 仰付候共少茂御恨申上間敷候
為後日役人連印仍而如件

差し上げ申し上げる一札の件
一、今年の作間石切の名前書き上げをいたしました以外に、もう一人もございません。なお村中入念に一つ一つ取り調べをいたしましたところ、少しも相違はございません。もしこの上にも不注意な件がございまして、後日お聞き及びになられましたなら、そちら様から早速ご注進をなさってください。その件をご調査の上、どのようなお咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しもお恨み申し上げることはございません。
後日のため役人連名で記します。よって件のごとし。

Item: Regarding this year's registry of stone cutters working in the cultivated fields, there is not a single additional person beyond those we have submitted. Furthermore, we have carefully investigated each person throughout the village, and there are absolutely no discrepancies. Should there be any matter of negligence discovered hereafter that comes to your attention, please immediately report it from your end. After investigating such matters, whatever punishment may be decreed, we shall harbor no resentment whatsoever.
The village officials affix their joint signatures for future reference. Respectfully submitted.
