商に十の次に二立扨下方の十を三双倍に卅と置一位さけて
又法にて下方の卅に商の十をよふ一三の卅と法に置又此卅
の次に居て下方の卅に商の二をよふ二三の六と置又法の卅
より一十とかつえのほりいて法の卅に商の二はかりを卅に
よふ二三の六百と置て又法の六より一十とのほりいて法
の六に商の二をよふ二六の百廿と置時七百廿に成是を
実にて引也○残て八坪有これをは小角に引まつ法にて
商の二を法にも二と置さて法の二に商の二をかくれは
二二の四と法に置て又これに商の二を再かくれは
二四の八坪となる是を実にてひき払なり
現代語訳
（右の図に二百四十坪、八坪、十二間）
商の十の次に二を立てる。さて下方の十を三倍（双倍）にして三十と置き、一位ずらして、
また法にて下方の三十に商の十を掛ける。一×三で三十と法に置く。またこの三十の
次の位に居て、下方の三十に商の二を掛ける。二×三で六と置く。また法の三十より
一の位十と数え上がりいでて、法の三十に商の二だけを三十に
掛ける。二×三で六百と置く。また法の六より一の位に繰り上がりいでて、法の
六に商の二を掛ける。二×六で百二十と置く時、七百二十になる。これを
実数で引く。○残りて八坪あり。これは小角（小さい端数部分）として引く。まず法にて
商の二を法にも二と置く。さて法の二に商の二を掛ければ
二×二で四と法に置く。またこれに商の二を再び掛ければ
二×四で八坪となる。これを実数で引き払うのである。

Place 2 next to the 10 in the quotient. Then triple the 10 in the lower position (double-double) to get 30, place it shifted one position, and
in the method, multiply the 30 below by the 10 in the quotient. 1 × 3 = 30, place this in the method. Then
staying at the next position of this 30, multiply the 30 below by 2 (the second digit of the quotient). 2 × 3 = 6, place this. Also, counting up from the 30 in the method to the ones place, multiply the 30 in the method by just the 2 of the quotient, adding to 30.
2 × 3 = 600, place this. Then, carrying up from the 6 in the method to the ones position, multiply the
6 in the method by the 2 in the quotient. 2 × 6 = 120, place this; this becomes 720 in total. Subtract this from
the dividend. ○ There remain 8 tsubo. This is handled as the small final term (small corner). First, in the method,
place 2 in the method as well for the quotient's 2. Then multiply the 2 in the method by the 2 in the quotient:
2 × 2 = 4, place this in the method. Then multiply this again by the 2 in the quotient:
2 × 4 = 8 tsubo. Subtract this from the dividend and it is cleared.
