海淵（かいえん）の深（ふか）きもいら□□□底（そこ）をしる况（いはん）□天（てん）の理（り）
をや日月（じつげつ）の行道（ぎやうどう）春秋（しゆんじう）の運気（うんき）其外（そのほか）巫医百工（ふゐひやくこう）の
類（たぐひ）みな算数（さんすう）によつて吉凶（よしあし）をもとめ血気（けつき）の順逆（じゆんぎやく）を
しる此道によらずして妙（めう）を知（し）り理（り）を暁（さとす）ことは
なんぞや然共（しかれども）其深（そのふかき）を知（しり）委（くはしき）を暁（さとす）こと至（いた）らざれば得難（えがた）し故（かるがゆへ）
に其（その）網領（こうれう）をしるして聖門（せいもん）に入 一（ひとつ）の便（たより）にせんと思（おも）へと下（げ）
愚（ぐ）のまめならざれば或（あるひ）は不足（ふそく）あるひは重（しげ）くてなん
ありなんよく明（あきらか）ならん人 違闕（いけつ）を糺（たゞ）さば誠（まこと）に助（たす）け

現代語訳
海淵の深さも、入らずしてその底を知ることができる。ましてや天の理はどうだろうか。日月の運行、春秋の季節の巡り、その他巫女・医者・百工の類も、みな算数によって吉凶を求め、血気の順調・逆調を知る。この道によらずして奥義を知り、理を悟ることがどうしてできようか。しかしながら、その奥深さを知り、詳細を悟ることは容易ではない。ゆえに、その要点を記して聖人の学問に入る一つの手がかりにしようと思うけれども、下愚の私が怠惰であるため、あるいは不足があり、あるいは重複があって、どうして明らかになろうか。明智な人が間違いや欠けているところを正してくれれば、まことに助けとなるであろう。

Even the depths of ocean abysses can be known without entering them to reach their bottom. How much more so the principles of heaven! The movements of the sun and moon, the circulation of the seasons of spring and autumn, and beyond that, shamans, doctors, and all kinds of craftsmen—all seek good and bad fortune through mathematics and know the proper flow and disruption of vital energy. Without relying on this way, how could one know mysteries and understand principles? However, to know its depths and understand its details is not easily achieved. Therefore, I thought to record its essential points as an aid to entering the gate of the sages' learning, but because I am foolish and negligent, there may be deficiencies or redundancies—how could it be clear? If an intelligent person would correct the errors and omissions, it would truly be a great help.
